   8     1.1.0</a>.  It has a number of improvements, including several new applets.
   9     (It also has <a href=http://www.busybox.net/lists/busybox/2006-January/017733.html>a few rough spots</a>,
  10     but we're trying out a "release early, release often" strategy to see how
  11     that works.  Expect 1.1.1 sometime in March.)</p>

  14     <p>The development branch of busybox is stable enough for wider testing, so
  15     you can now
  16     <a href="http://www.busybox.net/downloads/busybox-1.1.0-pre1.tar.bz2">download</a>,
  17     the first prerelease of 1.1.0.  This prerelease includes a lot of
  18     <a href="http://www.busybox.net/downloads/BusyBox.html">new
  19     functionality</a>: new applets, new features, and extensive rewrites of
  20     several existing applets.  This prerelease should be noticeably more
  21     <a href="http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/">standards
  22     compliant</a> than earlier versions of busybox, although we're
  23     still working out the <a href="http://bugs.busybox.net">bugs</a>.</p>

  28     1.01</a>) is now available for download, containing over a hundred

  30     fixes</a> that have cropped up since the 1.00 release.</p>

  34     Bug reports sometimes get lost when posted to the mailing list.  The
  35     developers of BusyBox are busy people, and have only so much they can keep
  36     in their brains at a time. In my case, I'm lucky if I can remember my own
  37     name, much less a bug report posted last week... To prevent your bug report
  38     from getting lost, if you find a bug in BusyBox, please use the
  39     <a href="http://bugs.busybox.net/">shiny new Bug and Patch Tracking System</a>
  40     to post all the gory details.
